Maria makes things weird

Maria searches the shed for supplies. She wraps the popcorn bucket in a layer of duct tape, then wraps it in a cloth, which she secures with another layer of duct tape.

She then sits on top of the desk, with the popcorn parcel nestled in the space beneath her legs.

Every time David attempts to reach for the popcorn, she then sprays hairspray around herself, or blows an airhorn, to dissuade him. At one point, she even sprays the hairspray directly into her own mouth. Eventually, David musters up the courage to grab the popcorn bucket, and then gets to work on removing the layers of duct tape from around it.

Maria insists on ‘helping’ him with the duct tape (after affirming that her reaching for the popcorn would not be considered an ‘attack’). However, her ‘help’ consists of her ineffectively and weakly gnawing at the tape, while putting on a show of effort.

David eventually tears through enough duct tape to pluck out a single piece of popcorn and eat it.

Maria protects the popcorn for 3 minutes and 46 seconds, and earns second place.
