Solveig becomes a giant

Not much is shown of Solveig’s attempt. She sources a small tree from somewhere (she tells Olli only that she’d “found it”), which has already been decorated with a few small ornaments.

After setting the tree up inside the caravan, Solveig turns her attention to creating a scale model of the caravan itself. She accomplishes this by picking up several large pieces of ice from the ground outside, and wrapping some sort of red putty around them to represent the red stripe around the base of the caravan.

Solveig places scale model caravan behind her and the tree, against one the caravan’s walls. However, it is barely visible during the remainder of the footage of her attempt, and cannot be seen in her final photograph.

Solveig recreates her pose in the photo almost perfectly, which seems to do much of the heavy lifting for her, when it comes time for Atle to assign scores, as all he has to say about Solveig’s attempt is that she has “suddenly become a giant”.

Atle awards Solveig second place.
