Sofie holds Mark hostage
Sofie chooses the word ‘pillow’ (‘pude’). She just so happens to be holding Mark’s hand while reading the task brief, and so immediately takes advantage of her position, after reading the starting conditions of the task (“Your time starts when Mark starts the metronome.”) by pulling him away from the desk, and blocking him with her body. She is then free to stare at the desk without her time starting, and without her concentration being split between solving the task and trying to keep up with the metronome. Mark tries to move past Sofie, and she politely asks him not to start the metronome. Mark apparently refuses, as he is next seen being sat on by Sofie, who is calmly writing down the names of the objects on a piece of paper.
Writing out the objects and then looking over her list allows Sofie to identify the numeric pattern in their names, and as Mark eventually officially starts the metronome (and her time), she arranges them in the correct order. As Mark collapses onto the ground in relief, having finally been freed, Sofie dances around the study in celebration.
In the studio, Christian points out that Mark had spent considerably more effort trying to retrieve the metronome than he did freeing himself from Sofie. Mark counters that if he had lifted Sofie the way he had lifted Christian, his career would have been over immediately (Sofie Linde made remarks and accusations while hosting the 2020 Zulu Comedy Gala which are widely credited with forcing Denmark to take the #MeToo movement seriously).
After holding Mark hostage for 20 minutes, Sofie completed the task in just 18 seconds (which she argues should be zero seconds, as she had actually worked out the order prior to her time starting), and wins by default.
