Annika’s special snowflakes
Annika admits that she did not start her collection until after she’d been assigned the task, but that she’d spent her entire Champion of Champions appearance fee (as well as “the majority of Denmark’s carbon budget”) on it.
Annika reveals that she has made a collection of unique snowflakes. She acknowledges that snowflakes are by definition unique, but says what makes her collection particularly exciting is that she has gathered a single snowflake from many different parts of the world.
Annika has chosen to bring her collection to the studio in a polystyrene box from the Aarstiderne food subscription service. She opens the box, announcing her intention to introduce everyone to “Spefanie”, a snowflake from the Danish town of Odder, but instead pulls out a jar containing just water.
Annika angrily claims that this is the production team’s fault, for making her the second-to-last presenter, and then pulls out another jar which is meant to contain “Jørn” the snowflake, who also turns out to have melted. She then proceeds to dramatically mourn the losses of some of the other snowflakes from her collection, including “Jutta from Lapland”, and “Aunt Møhge from Bakkens Korsbæk” (Aunt Møhge is a character from an old but popular Danish TV series, Matador, which is set in the fictional Danish town of Korsbæk; Bakkens Korsbæk is a physical recreation of the fictional town).
Lasse summarises Annika’s collection as a “lukewarm massacre”. He also notes that once he’d realised that ‘Spefanie’ had melted, every subsequent reveal in her presentation was somewhat predictable, which had made her collection less exciting.
Lasse awards Annika third place.
