Johan gives in to David’s temptation

When Johan asks if the eggs are allowed to be packaged or protected, David says that they can be.

Johan leaves the lab in search of both weighty items and protection, finding the former in the form of books and the latter in the form of various costume items.

After protecting the eggs by wrapping them in the costumes, Johan starts stacking books on top of them, and then adds a plinth and what appears to be an antique radio on top.

After successfully placing the radio on the pile without incident, Johan starts to become more hesitant about adding more weight, but eventually decides to put just one more book on top of the plinth.

When David holds up the empty egg bowl suggestively, Johan agrees that it will be the last item he will add to his pile. Unfortunately, the weight of the bowl is enough to cause a crack to be heard from Johan’s eggs, and Johan immediately places the blame on David (an accusation he sticks to in the studio).

Johan waits out the rest of his time, but then says that he does not want to see the state of his eggs, and leaves the lab before David starts removing the items to weigh them.

Johan places 25kg of weight on the eggs, and broke one egg, which gives him a -10kg penalty, resulting in a net weight of 15kg, and earning him third place.
