Mauri performs a basic magic trick
Mauri seems to come up with his challenge fairly quickly: find the ace of clubs in a full deck of cards.
However, he wonders if the game would actually be any fun, and so also searches the shed for inspiration.
After briefly considering giving David a challenge involving playing a song on an electronic keyboard, Mauri returns to his original idea.
Mauri’s challenge to David is that he must draw the ace of clubs from the deck within three tries, in order to win the grand prize: a rubber duck.
Mauri then actually draws the ace of clubs on his first attempt and, although he insists that doing so had been a complete coincidence, given some suspicious crimping on the card (as well as Mauri’s admiration of the comedian/magician Carl-Einar Häckner, it seems probable that this was a trick.
David then starts his own attempt and draws three cards: the ace of hearts, the four of spades, and the four of diamonds.
For completing a challenge that David could not, Mauri earns 3 points.
