Mauri “The Murderer” Hermundsson scores a goal
Mauri attempts a shot from the midway point of the rink. Despite David’s (minimal) effort to block it, Mauri’s shot goes in.
Mauri stands on the rink in shock for several seconds, before remembering that he needs to celebrate. He awkwardly gets on his hands and knees, cheering while allowing his knees to slide open and shut.
He moves back to where the opposing goal would be located and takes a shot from there, which misses.
His next attempt from approximately the same distance is successful, and Mauri’s celebration is simply to allow his legs to slide apart as he cheers.
In the studio, Babben says that after consulting VAR, it was determined that Mauri did not celebrate after every attempt (he likely did so only after every successful attempt) so, despite scoring from 51.9 metres away, Mauri earns only a single participation point.
