Task brief
The task brief is nestled in a large pile of knäckebröd (Swedish crispbread) on the table in the lab. The brief for the task is as follows:
Build the tallest possible crisp-tower.
The tower may only consist of crispbread.
You have until there isn’t a slice of bread being toasted in the toaster to build.
You may not change the toaster’s settings, or toast an already-toasted slice of bread.
The same person may not push down two slices of bread in a row.
Tallest crisp-tower wins.
Your time starts when David pushes the first slice of bread into the toaster.
Task notes
- Also in the lab, there are three plinths. Two have toasters on them, and the third has a plate with a jar of honey, a small bowl of butter, two knives, and 15 slices of bread.
- Each toaster takes just under 1 minute to toast the bread so, with minimal overlap, if done flawlessly, the contestants would have a maximum of around 15 minutes to complete the task.
