Behrouz teaches Astrid some dance moves
While talking to Astrid, one of the first questions Behrouz asks is whether she has ever paid bills using an “OCR number”. He abruptly shuts down that line of inquiry, after correctly identifying that it’s not at all cool (in the studio, he explains that when he’d first paid his own bills, it had felt like he’d gained a sort of independence).
While talking to Astrid, Behrouz learns that she spends a lot of time on TikTok, so he asks her what the cool trends are on the app. He asks her about the NPC trend, although he calls it “MPC”. Astrid says that she thinks it’s weird.
Behrouz then asks Astrid if she knows how to do the shuffle dance move. When she says she does not, he offers to teach it to her.
After teaching Astrid the shuffle, he teaches her a second dance move which involves moving his knees from side to side while waving his arms across them. He calls this move “the pathetic uncle”.
To prove that his shuffle dance move is cool, Behrouz then shows Astrid a TikTok video of him performing the move live on stage in front of 15,000 people. David notes at this point that Behrouz had not also performed “the pathetic uncle” live on stage.
Behrouz also shows Astrid a commercial he had starred in, which Astrid says she has already seen.
Reeling for something else to try, Behrouz then picks up a nearby slinky spring, leading David to rhetorically asks how old Behrouz thinks Astrid actually is, before attempting to engage in the NPC trend (which David confirms with Astrid is “cringe”).
Astrid awards Behrouz third place, asking “Does ‘OCR’ stand for ‘Odiously Cringe Reklamstatist [advertising extra]?”.
