Joanne’s goth disco
Joanne begins by trying to explain how bats roost upside-down, which she very much over-complicates and then has to start over. She then explains then that when you invert footage of bats hanging upside-down, to make it look like they’re standing up, it looks like a “Goth disco”.
Joanne’s submission is represented by a toy rubber bat on a string, but a black and white version of a video demonstrating the ‘Goth disco’ is also shared on-screen in the studio, with rock music playing to add to the ambience (the original version of the video may be found here).
Greg appreciates the bat video, and ultimately awards Joanne joint first place with Steve, earning them both 5 points.
