Joanne’s food trough
Joanne brings in an animal food trough, which she describes as a “present” for Greg. Greg states that it’s both insulting and appealing to him, and encourages her to keep talking.
Joanne attempts to justify the trough by stating that people are “going back to the earth” and building their own vegetable patches, so the trough is the next logical step. When Greg asks if she is imagining “trough parties”, she continues, claiming that it’s “all very Bear Grylls-survival stuff”, that lads “love making their own ham”, and that “they’re all going back to the land with their moustaches and eating off the ham hock and all”.
Greg is somehow swayed by Joanne’s narrative of “young lads munching on the ham hocks”, and so he awards her 4 points.
