Joanne’s jilted bride

After reading the task brief, Joanne requests some of the novelty headbands which make it appear as if the wearer has a knife through their head.

In the studio, before the contestants' attempts are shown, Greg asks Joanne if she has a history of jumping, and she responds by stating that she does all of her own stunts (“Always have, always will”).

At the start of her attempt, Joanne emerges from the house wearing an eye patch, a bride’s veil, and an unconvincing knife headband. When Alex asks her how her “big day” is going, she responds “It started out okay. Things took a turn.”

Joan stands on the decking of the stage area, and then simply leaps forward onto a crash mat which has been placed on the lawn.

In the studio, after her final image is shown, Joanne states that the show is proving to her that she has “the creativity of a wheelie bin”. However, she then describes the backstory behind her image as that of a jilted bride on her wedding day, who’s discovered that her husband-to-be is “riding the nanny”.

When Greg questions the reason for the eyepatch, Joanne claims that the bride has also just had laser eye surgery, on the way to the wedding. There is apparently no discussion about why the bride also has a knife through her head.

Greg ultimately decides to award Joanne 4 points, along with John and Steve.
