Sophie’s pause to strategise eventually pays off

Sophie begins her attempt by claiming that she is going to “strategise”. However, after a few seconds, she admits that she’s done, and she doesn’t appear to have any strategy in mind.

Lying on the bed, she notes that there is clearly something she has missed in the room, which could help her. She does not appear to consider at any point that there could be something beneath the camping bed, but she does identify that the task brief never specified that she must tie herself to the bed with the ties, and that it also only specified that she must be horizontal whilst in the lab.

At this point, Sophie has somehow already tied herself to the camping bed with two ties around her waist, so she has to first untie herself before rolling off the bed and sliding out of the lab on her back.

Once out of the room, Sophie sources a long rope from somewhere, and flings it into the lab, before crawling back in on her front and climbing back up onto the bed. She then threads the rope back and forth through the loops which are attaching the mattress to the bedframe, firmly tying herself down to the bed. She also incorporates the couple of ties she had previously brought down into her self-bondage.

Greg is ultimately most impressed with Sophie’s use of the rope to tie herself up, so he awards her 5 points.
