Joanne, John and Sophie make some moves
Whilst deciding who will stand in each position, Joanne initially suggests that John should stand in the dome. However, John notices the darts and points out that he was on his college darts team, which makes Joanne change her mind. John stands on the doormat, and Joanne enters the dome, leaving Sophie behind the oil drum (and in charge of the bottle). In the studio, Greg makes note of John being on his college darts team, and John reveals that he was actually the captain.
After the task brief is read, Joanne suggests that her nimbleness will be useful for the task. When Alex asks Sophie how good her bottle flipping is, she says “We’ll find out”. Sophie then flings the bottle in the air, missing the oil drum and landing on the ground sideways. John then hits the ‘Left Hand’ and ‘brown’ segments of the dart boards, starting off the team’s sequence.
Sophie then flips the bottle, catches it, then ‘lands’ the bottle upside-down on the oil drum. After Alex rules it to be an unsuccessful bottle flip, John’s next dart hits ‘Left Elbow’ meaning that he then needs to hit either the pink or brown segments of the other board to ensure that the next move is even possible for Joanne. John masterfully hits the ‘pink’ segment, making life easy for Joanne.
John suggests that next they should aim for Joanne to have to place her bum on a white circle, and he successfully hits the correct segments of both dart boards to make this happen with his next darts.
After another failed bottle flip by Sophie, Alex snidely suggests that “It’d be lovely if it lands on that table”. Following John’s next pair of darts, Joanne successfully puts her left hand on a white circle. Sophie then claims that flipping the bottle is the hardest part of the task.
While Sophie continues to fail her bottle flips, John continues to make successful shots on the dart boards, and Joanne is able to keep moving around the dome without any particular difficulty.
After a few more turns, Sophie actually manages to land the bottle flip. With the free choice of body part and colour they now have, Joanne suggests they go for “Right Hand, brown”, and then completes that move.
After Johns scores a bullseye on the top dartboard, he chooses “Right Knee”, and then hits the black segment on the bottom board, Joanne successfully completes another move.
John is then shown hitting the bullseye multiple times, intercut with footage of Joanne successfully moving her body around the dome. Growing a bit tired with the task, Joanne then asks how long this has to go on for, and Alex clarifies to her that it’s a case of “most moves wins”.
John then hits the ‘Right Foot’ and brown segments of the boards. Joanne successfully manages to move her foot to a brown circle, but her knee leaves the black circle it is on, as she does so, ending the team’s sequence. Messing with the team, however, Alex informs them that this ends the “first movement”, and that they need to now switch spots. After a baffled response, he then admits that he is joking.
In the studio, Greg asks Sophie if the bottle flipping was just a set-up, and she responds by claiming that it was “just to make you look like a prick”, and that it was really hard. When Alex claims that the team members did pick their positions, Sophie points out that she was forced into hers by John “the darts champion”. Greg compliments John on his darts skills, but then questions Joanne on how ‘nimble’ she had been. She and John respond by claiming that she’d been making moves in the dome for at least an hour.
Alex reveals that the team of three had made an impressive 43 moves during their attempt, so Greg awards them 5 points each.
