Pamela enlists Pilvi

After figuring out that the bin opens by depressing the pedal near its base, Pamela sources a garden rake, and attempts to use it to open the bin, soon realising that the rake’s head is not heavy enough to consistently open the bin.

After taking a moment to think, Pamela realises that she can enlist Pilvi to help. Pamela stands just off the edge of the wooden stage area, and tosses the ball towards the bin, shouting at Pilvi to depress the lever as soon as she releases the ball.

Pamela sources a large plastic tub of balls and starts throwing them at the bin. After several misses, Pamela moves closer to the bin, intent on at least logging a result before her time runs out.

She also starts throwing handfuls of ping pong balls, to increase her chances of landing a successful throw. This strategy eventually pays off.

Pamela’s successful throw is measured at 3.32 metres, and she earns third place.
