Episode synopsis

In this third Champion of Champions special, the four champions (and Kiell, standing in for series 15 champion Mae Martin) must: star in the best chase sequence; bring in the best thing to wish for, from a genie; be the best waiter; get a hat onto the Taskmaster’s head, while handicapped by a disadvantage they have chosen for themselves; do something really stupid; and name items in categories without saying the Taskmaster’s favourite thing.

Title context

During the ‘Disadvantage yourself in the next task’ task, Kiell Smith-Bynoe suggests a “spider in my pocket” as an example of something he could choose as a disadvantage for himself, which might actually prove to be an advantage.

Taskmaster Intro

Hello! Hello, thank you. I am Greg Davies. Welcome to the Champion Of Champions! Tonight is a special night indeed. For this, ladies and gentlemen, is our 150th episode. And what better way to celebrate this landmark than bring together the best of the best? Each of these champions have already owned the competition to etch themselves into history by winning a previous series. And also one of them is here just because the champion was busy.

Assistant Intro

And sitting next to me, my own little champion. A man who confided in me, following our Christmas drinks, that the first time he achieved an erection was whilst watching Ross Kemp playing Grant Mitchell, in a particularly tense scene with his on-screen brother, Phil. Little Alex Horne!

Note: Ross Kemp has played the ‘hard man’ character Grant Mitchell in the British soap opera EastEnders since 1990. His brother in the show, Phil Mitchell, is played by the actor Steve McFadden.

Episode prize

The prize up for grabs in this special is a golden statue of what Greg claims is his actual body.

During the special, a miniature version of the statue is on display next to Greg's throne.

At the end of the special, a life-size version is stood on stage, and the winner gets to mount the trophy they won in their series on top of it.
