Episode synopsis

In this episode the contestants must bring in the most desirable smooth thing, subtly deliver a five word instruction to Alex, inflate and then pop the most balloons, make a famous couple using their knees or elbows, and communicate pictures by drawing on their team-mate's back.

Title context

'Don’t like them go bang' was how Greg Davies paraphrased something David Baddiel said during the 'Inflate, tie, and pop the most balloons' task. What he actually said was "I don't like popping balloons. I mean, bang them. Make them go bang." Which isn't really any better, honestly.

Alternate Titles

  • On Denmark's TV2 Play streaming platform, this episode is titled 'Ikke fedt, når de siger bang', which translates as 'Not cool, when they go bang'.
  • On Finland's MTV Katsomo streaming platform, this episode is titled 'En tykkää paukkeesta', which translates as 'I don't like the bang'. [Translator credit: zador]
  • On Norway's Discovery+ Norge streaming platform, this episode is titled 'Jeg liker ikke når det sier pang', which translates as 'I don't like when it says bang'. Note: this Norwegian translation of the title only appears in the subtitles for the episode, whereas the episode title listed on the platform is the original English title. Taskmaster Intro

Thank you. Thank you and welcome. I'm Greg Davies, and this is Taskmaster. Sitting to me right are a team of battle-scarred competitors, who have been slogging thought task after task. They've had their ups and their downs, and they've discovered that for every failure there's a success just around the corner. Also, David Baddiel is here. Please now welcome them all.

    Assistant Intro

And sitting next to me is a boy who ran away with the circus, but he was sent back home because he was annoying everyone and unsettling the animals. It's little Alex Horne!

    Taskmaster's Sign-off

So, what have we learned today? Well, they say a rolling stone gathers no moss. It can't, it's got a fully grown woman underneath it. Go and get some rest and we'll see you next time for the fancy old final. But for now, please roar once more for tonight's unexpected winner, David Baddiel!
