Season synopsis

The ninth series of Taskmaster, consisting of ten episodes, was originally broadcast on Dave between September and November 2019 (the last series to air before the show moved to Channel 4).

The series featured contestants David Baddiel, Ed Gamble, Jo Brand, Katy Wix, and Rose Matafeo.

The live studio sessions were recorded at Pinewood Studios in Iver Heath, near London.

Because Katy was ill for the filming of the studio sessions of two episodes, former series champions Katherine Ryan and Kerry Godliman were brought in as her studio representatives for those episodes.

Notes on discrepancies

  • Due to a discrepancy in the points awarded during the 'Throw something into a pedal bin' task during episode 8 of this season, the final scoreboard for the season shows Katy Wix as having one point more than she was awarded, and Rose Matafeo as having one point less than she was awarded.
  • Fortunately, this discrepancy does not affect the contestants' overall standings at the end of the season.
