Reach a location without triggering an alarm
- In this task the contestants are instructed to reach a specific location within a grid or following a course of stepping stones.
- Whenever their actions cause an alarm to sound, they must return to the beginning and start again.
- The contestants do not know what causes the alarm to sound, and must attempt to try to figure this out.

In this team version of the task, the contestants must exit the gate of the Taskmaster house property while only stepping on their designated stepping stones.
Adapted versions
In this solo version of the task, the contestants are instructed to reach the end of a word grid while wearing an ankle monitor which beeps when they remain silent for too long, or ask a question.
In this version of the task the contestants, in teams of two, must attempt to reach the Taskmaster house as quickly as possible without setting off the alarm, which is triggered by them saying words containing 't', or remaining silent for seven seconds.
