Make a parachute for an object
- In this task the contestants have to build a parachute for a given object (e.g. a wooden spoon, an egg, or a stuffed toy flamingo), in order to either slow down its descent as much as possible, or to make the descent last a specific length of time.
Original version
In this version of the task the contestants have to slow the descent of a wooden spoon, to be dropped from a balcony.
Adaptations
In this version of the task the contestants have to slow the descent of an egg. There is a bonus point if they can prevent the egg from breaking. Also, they get to choose where the egg is dropped from.

Instead of slowing its descent as much as possible, they must aim to make it fall for as close to 2.7 seconds as possible. They are also allowed as many attempts as the time limit allows.
