Mastertask notes:

In this version of the task, the contestants must make a parachute for a stuffed toy flamingo, which is to be dropped from a construction scissor lift. Instead of slowing its descent as much as possible, they must aim to make it fall for as close to 2.7 seconds as possible. They are also allowed as many attempts as the time limit allows.

Task brief

The task brief is attached to a construction scissor lift parked on the driveway. The brief for the task is as follows:

Build a parachute and make the flamingo free-fall for 2.7 seconds.

Closest to the 2.7 second fall time wins.

Also on the lift, there is a man named Alex (who operates the lift) and a small stuffed toy flamingo.
The contestants may choose how high the lift goes for their attempts.
