Task briefs

The initial task brief is laid on a small table In the gazebo. The second task brief is laid on the table in the lab. The briefs for the task are as follows:

Bring of these tools with you to the lab.

Complete the five challenges with your chosen tool.

Whoever completes the challenges fastest wins.

You have 20 minutes.

Your time started when you first touched what you have in your hand.

1. Cut the pizza with your tool and give David the smallest piece.

2. Open the package and attach the ball joint lock to something.

3. Throw your tool so that it lands on the dartboard.

4. Paint the entire ball joint lock with your tool.

5. Free David with your tool.

Task notes

Also on the table in the gazebo (at least for the first contestant to complete the task) there is a knife, a pair of scissors, a paintbrush, a pizza cutter, and a dart. Once a tool has been chosen by one of the contestants, it is unavailable for the following contestants, until the final contestant to complete the task actually has no choice.
On the table in the lab, there is a delivery pizza, a ball joint lock in sealed plastic packaging, and some paints.
In the corner of the lab, there is a dartboard hanging from a stand.
David is tied with rope to a chair, next to the table, holding his clipboard between himself and the rope in a way which makes it safer for the contestants to attempt to cut the rope with their chosen tool.
