The brief for the task is as follows:
Open a can.
You must open the first can you touch.
If you open a can that has something in it, you are out.
The person who stays in the longest wins.
Task notes
- The contestants are lined up side-by-side along the left-hand side of the stage.
- On a square table in the centre of the stage, 25 identical red cardboard tubes with plastic lids have been arranged in a grid.
- A small number of the tubes (presumably just four) contain springy snakes which jump out of the cans when the lids are removed.
- As the contestants open the tubes, they must deposit them in a plastic crate, which has been placed on the floor next to the table.
- As the contestants are eliminated, they must take a seat on the elimination bench, along the right-hand side of the stage.
