Build a sand bridge across the river
- In this task the contestants are instructed to build a sand bridge across the river of a miniature model of a pastoral scene.
- The bridge must be able to support the weight of an egg, and the egg must also be able to pass beneath the bridge.
- There is a clue provided on the table which may lead the contestants to discovering some hidden building supplies within the table upon which the model itself sits. However, these building supplies are generally not actually that helpful.
Original version
In this version of the task, the clue to the presence of hidden building supplies is given by a plastic crow with the word 'Troy' written on it, referring to the ancient city of Troy which, according to Greek myth, was invaded through the use of the Trojan horse.
Adaptations
In this version of the task, the clue to the presence of hidden building supplies is given by the inclusion of a miniature wooden Trojan horse.
