Work out a number based on the flavours of some sweets
- In this task, the contestants must identify a number by tasting a series of custom-flavoured sweets.
- The potential flavours of the sweets are listed on a menu in the room, and the first letters of those flavours correspond to chemical elements. The correct number is then based on the atomic weights of the relevant elements.
- In team versions of the task, the contestants must use the numbers identified to unlock some combination locks, free themselves from some handcuffs and chains, and then have a team hug. The key for the contestants' handcuffs is usually hidden in plain sight in the room, but is small enough that it is easy to miss.
- In solo versions of the task, the goal may simply be to arrive at a correct number, using basic arithmetic.
Adaptations

In this team version of the task, the contestants’ restraints are not chained to the ceiling, so they are more able to move around the space in which the task takes place (which happens to be a squash court). Also, the custom-flavoured sweets provided are not jelly babies, and have different flavours to enable their Swedish names to correctly correspond to the chemical symbols on the periodic table.
