Biography

Fernando Jorge Alves Mendes (born 9 March 1963) is a Portuguese actor, comedian and television presenter.

The son of comedian actor Vítor Mendes, Fernando followed his father's artistic vein. At the age of seventeen, following his successful debut in the review Reviravolta at the ABC theatre, he decided to become an actor.

He made his television debut in 1984 and his talent for comedy was consecrated at national level, with highlights including his roles in Nico d'Obra, and Nós os Ricos.

Today, the comedian needs no introduction, as there is not a Portuguese person who does not know who the him as the presenter of Preço Certo ['The Price is Right'], a role he has held since 2003.
