Attempts

Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!

  • Linda starts popping all of her balloons, and places her bread slices on top of all of her popped balloons near the end of the task. However, she has forgotten that the rules stated that the balloons needed to be inflated to count. She earns no points.
  • Simon accidentally releases all of his balloons, so he steals one of Sofie’s balloon hampers. At some point, he figures out that he can poke the balloon nib through the middle of a single slice of bread to anchor his balloons. Simon earns second place.
  • Sofie puts bread slices on top of a few of her balloons to weigh them down. When she steps back at the end of time, two of the balloons break free from their bread slices. Sophie earns third place.
  • Jonas anchors his balloons by stacking several slices of bread on top of the nib of each balloon. It’s unclear from the camera angle, but he may also have discovered that he could poke the balloon nib through the middle of a single slice of bread and anchor it that way. Jonas wins the task.
  • Tobias accidentally knocks over one of his balloon hampers, sending them all to the ceiling. He starts popping the remaining balloons, putting them under his bread slices. However, he has forgotten that the rules stated that the balloons needed to be inflated to count. He earns no points.
