Attempts
Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!
- Sara quickly discovers a great technique for anchoring her balloons, which is later named by Greg as “the Pascoe Balloon Poke”. Her method involves poking the knotted end of the balloon through a small hole in the slices of bread. Using her patented technique, Sara manages to secure 10 balloons, and earns 5 points.
- Rob begins by trying to balance slices of bread on top of his balloons. He then notices the technique that Sara is using, and begins to copy her, poking the knotted ends of the balloons through the slices of bread. He manages to secure seven balloons, and earns 4 points.
- Dave begins by trying to balance slices of bread on top of his balloons. He then notices the technique that Sara is using, and begins to copy her, poking the knotted ends of the balloons through the slices of bread. He manages to secure six balloons, and earns 3 points.
- Paul makes balloon sandwiches by placing slices of bread both underneath and on top of his balloons. He manages to secure three balloons, and earns 2 points.
- Al begins by trying to use slices of bread to weigh down the knotted ends of his balloons. He then makes a tower of bread, and uses this to secure balloons on either side. He secures just two balloons, and earns 1 point.
