Attempts
Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!
- Jonas uses milk and Parmesan cheese to create a beach and the ocean. He uses cheese sticks to create boards, and puts a carton of milk on top of them. He then declares that he has recreated the relocation of the Rubjerg Knude lighthouse (in 2019, to keep the lighthouse from falling into the sea due to shifting sands, the lighthouse was pulled 70m/230ft inland). He attempts to fully recreate it by pulling the milk carton back on the cheese sticks, but the carton falls down. Jonas comes third.
- Linda recreates the birth of her child. She first tells Mark that she had a natural birth, so forces him to move the bathtub from the garden into the house; she then admits that she actually had a c-section, so the bathtub is unnecessary. Linda fills a large bun with raspberry foam, then adds whipped cream and a Kaj cake (frog cake; Heino Hansen dressed up as one in season 3) to represent the baby. She puts two smaller buns next to the large bun to represent her breasts, then pushes down hard on the bun to squeeze out the frog cake, which she moves to nurse at the breast buns. Linda comes fourth.
- Simon uses a massive block of cheese and a paddling pool filled with milk to recreate Titanic. He uses cheese cut-outs of Jack and Rose to recreate a few iconic scenes – namely, “I'm the king of the world!” and “I’ll never let go, Jack.” Simon smashes the contents of a gallon of ice cream into the cheese block before breaking it apart to sink the ship, accompanying himself by singing the Titanic theme in falsetto. He uses a Kinder egg broken in half to represent lifeboats. Simon wins the task.
- Tobias tells Mark about a mystic and ethnobotanist named Terence McKenna, who advocated for the responsible use of psychedelic plants. Tobias recreates McKenna’s theory that humanity first began to occur when monkeys first ate psychedelic mushrooms. Tobias makes a monkey and a mushroom out of a large wheel of brie cheese, and signifies monkeys gaining self-awareness by pouring what appears to be scalded milk on the monkey’s head. Tobias comes last.
- Sofie recreates the 1992 UEFA European Championship final match between Denmark and Germany – which Denmark would win, giving them their first European title. Sofie makes a football pitch in the yard, with players made out of various cheeses. Sofie dresses in a suit made out of green screen material – presumably her intention was to be green-screened out so it looked like the cheese players were moving on their own, but this never happened – and moves the players around while providing commentary. Sofie comes second.
