Task brief

The task brief in Danish specifies that the contestants should make a film that gives “fabric for reflection”. The brief for the task is as follows:

Make a movie that gives food for thought.

The film that makes the Taskmaster think the most wins.

You have one hour.

Your time starts now.

Task notes

  • This is similar to the English idiom “food for thought”, and explains why the task biref is presented with a bolt of fabric (and why Linda uses the fabric for her own movie).

Attempts

Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!

  • Jonas and Mark play thieves set on robbing the Stormester house. While going through Lasse’s possessions, Jonas discovers a property tax bill revealing that Lasse actually owes over 50,000 in taxes. The two have a conversation about the rise of cost of living, and how much money Lasse must be spending on the house at the moment. Jonas declares that he does not want to rob anyone already down on their luck. They leave the items they had planned on burgling, but Mark steals a pair of Lasse’s trainers on the way out. In the studio, Jonas presents the trainers he had stolen from the house, and asks if Lasse ever noticed they were missing. When Lasse says he had not, Jonas tells him that the fact that he never noticed should be something to think about. Jonas earns second place.
  • Sofie films a PSA/PIF about bullying in the workplace, listing examples of bullying accompanied by clips of Lasse bullying Mark, all pulled from S1 of Stormester. Cut into the middle is footage of Sophie crying, asking why Lasse is so mean (this footage was shot during Sofie’s 'Don’t blink' task attempt). Sofie’s PSA /PIF ends by stating that there is hope, that a bully can turn into a leader by, for example, awarding five points to someone who made a good film, and making sure that said person receives high marks in the future. Sofie earns third place.
  • Linda dances in front of the large bolt of fabric to some music she recorded on a keyboard. She slowly unrolls the fabric (which Mark is holding), to reveal the messages: “Be positive...unless we're talking about a chlamydia test!”; “Your IQ is just a number.”; and “What happened to shrimp cocktails? They kind of just went out of fashion in the 80s...along with AIDS...”. In the studio, Linda attempts to justify her movie by claiming that the idea of it was that one should think about the things they do not often think about. Linda earns last place.
  • Simon’s movie is an action film. Mark (in an awful wig) writes snide comments on social media to someone who has posted a picture of themselves grilling. The comments manifest as a superhero/supervillain, played by Simon, who proceeds to beat up the three people grilling, berating them for hurting the environment and for not buying organic. The comments quickly just become personal attacks on the people - for liking pineapple on pizza, for liking certain musical artists, for preferring dark chocolate over white chocolate. Mark ends his typed rant with a dislike – this causes Simon to jump in the air and punch the ground, sending all three people flying away from him. Simon earns fourth place.
  • Tobias' film is a trailer for an updated version of Stormester. Tobias – in his persona of Grand Maestro – moves the show to a house on the Caribbean Islands. Tobias is assisted by his right hand man, Pepe (Mark Le Fêvre), with whom he shares “mutual respect and financial transparency”. After the success of Grand Maestro, Tobias' thoughts turn to Lasse. He creates a new show for Lasse: 'Vild Med Kat' [Wild About Cats'], a show exploring the relationship between man and the domesticated cat. Tobias wins the task.
