Attempts
Here's a brief description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on writing up some additional detail, though!
- James rode a bike in circles whilst trying to use a hula hoop, crashing on the paved compass, which he also then attempted to claim as his circle.
- Jessica made a compass from string and bricks to draw a chalk circle. However, the string came loose as she was drawing her circle, resulting in the circle having a straight edge. She made a circle that was 38.5 square metres.
- Kerry initially tried to draw a circle on a several taped pieces of paper, before realising she could go outside in the snow to draw a circle with a drainpipe in the snow.
- Phil made a compass with a pole and string, but drew the circle with a yellow highlighter so it couldn't be seen, meaning it could not be measured.
- Rhod drew a circle around a giant screw resting on a map of the world. He therefore drew a circle that was technically 601,000 square miles.
