In this version of the task, the contestants get to choose whether to come up with the most or least ingenious use for a roll of tape. Only the new uses for tape judged by the Taskmaster to be the most or least ingenious receive any points.

The task brief is stuck to a roll of tape hanging from the ceiling of the study, above the desk. The brief for the task is as follows:
Use this roll of tape for something ingenious.
Most ingenious use of the roll of tape gets 5 points.
Least ingenious use of the roll of tape gets 4 points.
No-one else gets any points.
You have 20 minutes.
