The briefs for the task are as follows:

Choose an item from each box and place them on the corresponding half of your table.

You have one minute.

Your time starts on the whistle.

One at a time, pass the item on your right to the person on your right, and the item on your left to the person on your left.

The contestants are lined up side-by-side on stage, each standing behind a table.
At the front of the stage, there are two wooden boxes, labelled ‘RIGHT’ and ‘LEFT’, each of which contains five items.
The ‘RIGHT’ box contains a red sleeping bag, a safe with a numeric keypad lock, a microwave, a bag of flour, and a bunch of three red inflated balloons (labelled with the number ‘2851’, which happens to be the code for the safe).
The ‘LEFT’ box contains a length of flexible tubing, a roll of aluminium foil, a pair of jeans, a plate full of yellow foam balls, and some cardboard.
After the task is finished, Alex admits that he had forgotten to change the batteries in the safe, rendering the code for the numeric keypad completely useless.
