The brief for the task is as follows:
Turn your exercise ball into a world globe with your selected item.
You must be wearing your boxing gloves throughout.
Most geographically accurate world globe wins.
You have 180 seconds.
Task notes
- The contestants are lined up side-by-side on stage, each wearing Taskmaster-branded overalls and a pair of boxing gloves, and standing behind a blue exercise ball on a stand on top of a plinth.
- Next to each plinth, there is a red box of a unique size and shape, each box containing a different medium for the contestants to paint their globes with: shaving foam, Vegemite, mustard, jam, and silly string.
- Before the task brief is read, Tom Cashman asks each contestant in turn to pick one of the exercise balls to stand behind. Only then do they find out what medium they will be painting their exercise ball globes with.
- The task has similarities with the ‘Draw a map of New Zealand using yeast spread‘ task, but is also distinct enough to be categorised here as original.
