Task brief
The task brief is laid on the table in the caravan. The brief for the task is as follows:
Summon Tom to the caravan with the walkie-talkie.
You may not leave the caravan.
Tom will move five steps for any correct word, in the direction that the correct word corresponds to.
Once a correct word has been used, it cannot be used again.
The first word stated in each transmission counts.
You must complete each transmission with the phrase ‘over’.
It is also polite to respond to any received transmission with ‘Roger’.
Fastest to get Tom to the caravan wins.
Your time starts now.

Task notes
- Also on the table, there is a walkie-talkie.
- Tom Cashman begins the task standing just behind the shed, while there is another man dressed in the same clothes (and wearing a badge indicating he is named Roger) standing on the lawn within view of the contestants inside the caravan.
- Tom’s doppelganger (real name, Oliver) was previously seen in the ‘Deliver the pizza to Tom’ task, in season 1, and similarly to in that appearance, he is only permitted to respond to the contestants during this task by saying ‘Buongiorno! My Name’s Roger.’
- Both Tom and ‘Roger’ follow the contestants directions, when relevant.
- Each time the contestants speak an instruction into their walkie-talkie, Tom responds by saying “Roger”, and then confirming that ‘Roger’ should take five steps in the relevant direction.
- The relevant direction is based on the first letter of the first word spoken by the contestant during each order, with ‘N’ meaning north, ‘E’ meaning east, ‘S’ meaning south, and ‘W’ meaning west.
