Task notes
- The contestants and Greg and Alex all remain in their usual seats on the lower part of the stage during this task.
- The upper part of the stage has been set up with a curtain consisting of square mirrors strung together, held up between two ornate screens with question marks on them.
- Hiding behind the curtain is recurring guest Quentin (who previously appeared in series 13’s ‘Correctly guess the person's first name’ task, and series 18’s ‘Correctly guess this person’s job’ task), who speaks through a voice-altering filter during this task, to conceal his identity.
- This task is clearly inspired by the ‘How Close to Death Are You?’ game show invented by Joanne McNally, John Robins, and Sophie Willan, during their attempt at series 17’s ‘Create a shiny floor American game show’ task, which even featured a similar mirrored curtain backdrop. Indeed, audio clips from Sophie Willan’s theme music for the show are played at the start and end of this task.
