The brief for the task is as follows:
Identify the median Kjell.
Divide the nine different Kjells behind you into three categories: four older Kjells, four younger Kjells, and the one median Kjell.
Identifying the correct median Kjell earns you 3 points.
You may ask one question to one of the Kjells.
The Kjell will only answer with a thumbs-up or thumbs-down.
Select your Kjell when David gives you the go-ahead.
Task notes
- This task took place during the 'middle of the show' segment, as a game titled 'Kjell sortera' ['Kjell sort'].
- David segues into the segment by asking Johanna whether or not she cares for the environment, and then telling her it’s time to sort waste (‘källsortera’).
- The theme animation reveals that it’s actually about sorting different men named ‘Kjell’ (‘Kjell-sortera’), as the first syllable of ‘källsortera’ sounds identical to the first name Kjell.

- Marcus asks Kjell number 4 about his opinion of the latest album released by Lasse Stefanz [a Swedish country band]. Kjell responds with a thumbs-sideways gesture. Sussie asks Kjell number 6 if he’s got grandchildren. He responds with a thumbs-down. Marcus jokes that Kjell does actually have grandchildren, but he just hates them. Johanna asks Kjell number 1 if he knows who Joakim Lundell [a Swedish Youtuber] is, which he does. Anis asks Kjell number 7 how he’s doing, and the response is a thumbs-up. Sofia asks Kjell number 8 if he’s under 50 years old. He responds with a thumbs-up, but cracks up laughing and then changes to a thumbs-down. Marcus and Sussie both guess that Kjell number 4 is the median Kjell, Johanna and Anis both guess Kjell number 7, and Sofia guesses Kjell number 8. The answer is revealed to be Kjell number 8, so Sofia earns 3 points.
