Attempts

Here's a brief description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on writing up some additional detail, though!

  • Hugh brought in a carrot supposedly signed by Malcolm X.
  • Joe brought in a yellow courgette signed by Greg, who was told by Sara Pascoe that it was for a charity vegetable raffle, although Joe denied ever telling her to do so.
  • Lolly brought in a signed Black Eyed Peas CD on a pile of black-eyed peas.
  • Mel brought in Howard Donald's autograph on a horseradish, Gary Barlow's autograph on a butternut squash, Mark Owen's autograph on a heritage squash, and Robbie William's autograph on a sweet potato (four out the five members of the boy band Take That).
  • Noel brought in a broad bean signed by the actor David Suchet.
