In this version of the task, the contestants had seven months to gain weight.
Task brief
The task brief was emailed to the contestants on the 4th of January 2010. The brief for the task is as follows:
John Scales:
You sent me your weights. Thank you. Now that I know how much you currently weigh, the five people who INCREASE their weight by the most come August (and Edinburgh) will receive points (10 to the winner, 9 to the second etc).
Task notes
- Alex had requested that the contestants share their weights with him when he sent them the task brief for the 'Mail Alex a large Christmas present' task on the 4th of December 2009.
- Mike Wozniak gained 2.3kg from his previous year's weight of 82.7kg, to reach 85kg.
- Tim Fitzhigham weighed in at 95kg, but it is not known what his previous weight had been.
- Tom Wrigglesworth started the task with a weight of 12.85 stone.
