Wil’s distilling company musical

Wil picks out the business card for the Little Lon Distilling Company. After calling them, he finds out that they make gin and absinthe, and are also planning on releasing a whisky.

The company representative also shares that they are based in a tiny heritage listed cottage which used to be a brothel, and that their best-selling product is called ‘Miss Yoko’, after the Madame of the former brothel.

Wil does not do anything visual for the video of his jingle, focusing purely on the audio. The lyrics to his jingle are as follows:

When I say ‘hey’, you say ‘ho’
It’s the story of the Little Lon Distilling Co
Well, here’s the story, let me begin
It’s the place to get all of your gin
But here’s a tip, don’t drink alone
But contact them by email, they don’t have a phone
It used to be a brothel run by Miss Yoko
The perfect place for a pull or a poke, oh
When I say ‘hey’, you say ‘ho’
It’s the story of the Little Lon Distilling Co
If you need their email it starts with a ‘hello’, not ‘hola’
When you get their drinks in your mouth, you’ll never spit, just swallow

In the studio, when Tom Gleeson says to Wil that the task wasn’t audio only, Wil argues that it was meant to be a jingle, and jingles are just audio.

Wil says he had concentrated on the jingle itself, but also acknowledges that the production team had edited out about seven minutes of his jingle, which he claims was more like a Tim Minchin-style musical. Tom Cashman confirms that the jingle had been very long.

Wil earns just 1 point.
