Joonas utilises the postman’s special

Joonas is the only contestant who approaches the task with a level head, carelessly tossing the initial task brief into Pilvi’s lap and then getting to work opening the envelopes surrounding him without further comment.

After tearing a few of the envelopes off of the wall to open them, Joonas starts leaving them on the wall to open instead, and is surprisingly careful with them when he does so, despite the time pressure.

The footage of his attempt is shown in a montage with Pamela’s and Pirjo’s and, of the three, he is the only one who sticks to a system when opening the envelopes – instead of darting around at random, he picks a starting point (the closet) and then works his way around the room. This eventually leads him to the correct task brief, and he whistles a more elaborate version of the same tune that Pamela had whistled in her attempt.

In the studio, Jaakko comments on Joonas’ approach to the task – leaving all of the carefully-opened envelopes on the wall – and asks if Joonas was using the “postman’s special”. Joonas explains that his strategy was about efficiency, but that it would also allow the envelopes to be reused for another contestant. When Jaakko notes that Joonas was doing the crew’s job for them, Joonas replies that he’s “known as a fair guy in a workplace community”, before joking that he’s only worked in two places before (in actuality, Joonas has been a part of many successful television shows, including a few with Jaakko).

Joonas whistles in 2 minutes and 13 seconds, and wins the task.
