Erkku imports an American bingo machine

Erkku heads to the shed, and quickly spots the barrel outside holding a variety of long objects. He dumps the contents onto the ground, intending to use the barrel itself as the basis of his bingo machine.

He then searches the shed for balls to fill the barrel, and tosses them out, one by one, as he does so. He lands most of these shots in the barrel, one after another, prompting him to question why he is not a member of the Susijengi (‘Wolf Gang’, the nickname of the Finnish national men’s basketball team, named after its wolf logo).

Erkku casts himself as the bingo host, donning a sparkly silver jacket he has found in the shed (and which had previously been used as an elephant, earlier in the series).

Erkku invites Pilvi outside to try “the world’s first human-sized bingo machine”, which he claims he has imported all the way from America. He hands a plunger to Pilvi, instructing her to use it to spin the bingo machine, before he crawls as far inside the barrel as he can, leaving only his head and shoulders sticking out.

When Pilvi remarks that Erkku surely does not like being cramped in such a relatively small barrel for his size, Erkku replies that what Pilvi is about to do “will definitely hurt” him. Still, he persists, keeping his persona of cheerful bingo host, clutching a small Suurmestari-branded flag in one hand. He even sings a song – to the tune of a children’s song, Piiri pieni pyörii (‘The Little Circle Turns’), changing only some of the lyrics – about spinning bingo balls, while Pilvi uses the plunger to roll the barrel around on the ground. Erkku then pulls out one of the seemingly random objects from the barrel and hands it to Pilvi, and she announces that she has just drawn “red three”.

Pilvi then spins the barrel again. This time, when she stops, Erkku rings a service bell he has attached to the side of the barrel, announcing that she has reached the “bonus round”. He hands her a green wiffle ball from inside the barrel, and Pilvi calls out that “18 green” has been drawn.

Erkku continues to ring the service bell in continued celebration of the bonus round and, after a brief interlude where Pilvi dances with a small disco ball that she is holding for some reason (presumably it came from the barrel, in footage that did not make the edit of Erkku’s attempt), Erkku draws the final ball to end the game, which Pilvi reveals to be “five golden”. Erkku then waves his flag in victory.

As he makes his way out of the barrel, Pilvi rhetorically asks Erkku if the human-sized bingo machine has indeed been imported complete and ready to be played, lacking only a name.

In the studio, Erkku clarifies that “human-sized bingo machine” was the actual name of his creation, and not just a description.

Jaakko asks what the atmosphere is like at the American bingo halls that use Erkku’s machine. Erkku believes that such bingo halls would likely “have a lot of glitter, surprises, and everyone is constantly constipated” .Jaakko reasons that the constipation is due to everyone in the country always sitting down.

Jaakko awards everyone 3 points as a baseline score. He then awards Erkku a bonus point for “truly risking his body” by becoming part of his bingo machine.
