Tom acts out some personal drama with the ref

Tom scores and then yells “I did it, I did it!”. He then blows a party blower, releases some streamers, twirls around, and then runs to the net where he bursts a row of balloons hanging from the cross bar.

At the side of the goal, there is a mannequin, dressed in a t-shirt which has ‘ref’ written on it. Tom has a one-sided conversation with the ref, asking “What do you mean, ref? That wasn’t a foul.” We then discover that the referee, Bianca, is Tom’s partner, and that the call of a foul was personal-motivated.

Tom continues to have a discussion with Bianca about their relationship. He flirts with her, saying he likes how she looks in her outfit, and the way she blew her whistle. Tom and Bianca then kiss, as Paul runs up and blows the whistle to end the task.

When Paul asks Tom if he is happy with his attempt, Tom says he thinks it’ll earn him fourth place.

In the studio, Jeremy says it was bold of Tom to think he would earn fourth place. Jeremy then asks what it is with footballers and off-pitch relationships, referring back to Ben Hurley’s attempt. Tom says he doesn’t know, suggesting that it’s “just red-blooded blokes up here.” Jeremy says that there was some glory in the celebration, but that it was also tragic.

After Ben and Hayley critique Tom’s kissing style, he points out that it was like kissing a piece of wood, and that she was giving nothing. When Ben suggests that’s just how girls kiss, Madeleine responds “It’s not”.

Tom earns 2 points, fulfilling his own prediction of earning fourth place.
