Pamela opts for abstract

Pamela chooses a distance of 20 centimetres.

As Pamela starts to paint a large circle on her canvas – with some difficulty, as it does not seem to occur to her to simply use her free hand to hold the canvas in place – she explains to Pilvi that she intends to paint something abstract, as painting a more representative portrait of Jaakko would be “so obvious”.

Pamela alternates between using the brush and her fingers and hands to colour the canvas, seemingly letting out a stream of consciousness as her explanation as to why she is painting the way she is (at one point claiming to be representing Jaakko’s “spiritual capital” in her work).

In the studio, Pamela explains that her painting represents Jaakko’s light and dark sides battling each other, with his head in the middle.

Jaakko awards everyone 3 points, but also awards Pamela a bonus point “because the picture was so damn good”, and because she’d put thought and effort into her presentation.
