Mehdi brings the right tools for the job

Mehdi initially does not think to take anything into the lab with him for dealing with the watermelon.

However, upon seeing the whole melon, he runs back out of the lab and returns with a kitchen knife and a drill, into which a whisk has been fastened.

Somehow, in the remaining time he has, he manages to cut one end off the melon, blend up its flesh with the drill, and drink a bunch of it, before shoving two small chunks into his mouth in the final seconds.

Incredibly, he is able to consume 640g of the melon in this way, earning first place in the task.
