Jesper uses some thingamabobs

Jesper begins by pouring the majority of the sand onto the model, and uses some of the water from the river to wet it enough to start sculpting with it, singing an improvised song about building a sand bridge as he does so.

He is then seen checking out the barn, and the horse within it.

He apparently inspects and breaks apart the horse, looking for some kind of clue, but the footage of this is not included in the edit.

He does identify that it is intended to represent the Trojan horse, though, and this leads to him inspecting the large table more closely, knocking on its edges to identify whether there are any hidden compartments.

This search proves fruitful, as he discovers that one side of the table opens up to reveal a collection of various “thingamabobs” and “stuff” which might be used to help with his construction, including some small wooden planks, blocks, and arches, and balloons.

He initially tried to make a bridge using the planks, but quickly realises that the egg would not be able to pass under them.

After a few false starts, Jesper eventually uses two arches to form the main structure of his bridge, and he then covers them with enough sand that they are mostly hidden from view.

He uses the water bucket to refill the river, and then adds a stick and an inflated balloon to the top of his bridge, to add some height.

As his time runs out, Jesper sings Kong Christian stod ved højen mast (‘King Christian stood by the lofty mast’), one of the two official national anthems of Denmark.

In the studio, his bridge is determined to qualify as a sand bridge, and it is revealed that it was 55 centimetres tall, which earns him second place.
