Annika confronts her Waterloo

Annika starts with a fairly long pole, and almost immediately runs into difficulty, navigating through the house with it.

After bumping her way through the entrance hall and the lounge, Annika enters the study, and tells Mark that the pole will be her Waterloo.

Unlike Jonas, with whose attempt her own has been edited, Annika moves quickly, and so not only racks up penalties when she needs to turn the pole, but also for her careless mistakes when she has plenty of room to move the pole.

Annika recruits Mark’s help in pulling the pole through the canvas tunnel, which counts as a penalty for her, but presumably she does not follow Jonas’ logic that sliding the pole through it counts as a single touch.

Annika does not make a plan before approaching the tyres, and gets trapped behind one of the barrels without any way to manoeuvre the pole without it touching anything. She then falls into the same trap with the mailbox.

Annika also carelessly hits the back end of her pole against the ground a few times, while trying to place it in the finishing stand, leading her to call her entire attempt “unworthy”.

Having started with a 4.26 metre pole, Annika makes 22 errors, resulting in a finishing length of 2.06 metres. Annika therefore earns third place.
