Behrouz builds with ‘B’
Behrouz chooses the letter ‘B’, and orders a swimming ring (‘badring’), a car tyre (‘bildäck’), and some balloons. He runs out of time before he can think of anything else to order.
Behrouz stretches open one of his balloons, intent on getting the egg inside. As he does so, he asks David if he is allowed another egg, if his breaks during the construction of the boat, and David indicates that he is not.
After stretching out the balloon a bit by blowing it up, Behrouz manages to get the egg inside, then promptly drops it on the desk. Somehow determining that the egg had survived its fall, Behrouz then blows up the balloon with the egg still inside of it, and ties it off.
The swimming ring Behrouz had ordered just so happens to have large, three-dimensional cartoon eyes on the top of it, so Behrouz tears a hole in one of them and shoves the balloon containing the egg inside of it.
Unsurprisingly, Behrouz’s boat takes an early and commanding lead for the majority of the race. However, as the race nears the finish line and the current slows down, so does his swimming ring, which allows Maria’s boat (towing Johan’s behind her) to sneak past. Behrouz is initially awarded third place in the race, until it is revealed that Johan’s egg had not made it through the entire race, at which point Behrouz is bumped up to second place.
Shockingly, no-one – including Babben – seems to think that a swimming ring (which Behrouz even acknowledges was designed to float on water) is considered “too boaty”, and so Behrouz earns second place in the task.
