Joanne cautiously unravels the “bad ply”
Although Joanne takes a cautious approach to unravelling the toilet roll, the roll still very quickly tears before she’s been able to get much paper off.
After her time penalty is over, she resumes by cautiously rolling the unravelled paper up in her hands, while complaining that “It’s a bad ply.”
She subsequently unravels a few feet of slack paper and then attempts to start threading it through the roll. During the process, the paper tears almost all the way across, but remains hanging by a thread.
She proceeds with the rest of the task fairly uneventfully, remaining cautious with her unravelling technique, but does incur at least two more time penalties before she completes the task.
She then thumb the final rolled-up wadge of her toilet paper through her completely bare tube and finishes the task apparently in fourth place.
However, after everyone returns to their seats, Alex points out to Greg that only Joanne’s tube has been completely stripped of its paper. Everyone else is therefore disqualified for not having completed the task, and Joanne earns 5 points.
