Sophie juices oranges with a spatula, some shears, and her boobs

After reading the initial task brief in the living room, Sophie gets Alex to stand up against the wall and then confesses to him that a “spatula” is her favourite piece of kitchen equipment. She then repeatedly screams “boob” into his face, before declaring “shears” to him, in a nasal tone.

Before the second half of Sophie’s attempt is shown, Greg highlights her decision to choose “boob” as her body part, and the fact that she had chosen to yell the word repeatedly at Alex, which he assumes would have made Alex very uncomfortable. Alex admits that he had at first recoiled at the word, but says he had then become quite used to her shouting it at him. Sophie suggests that this was a form of sexual therapy.

Having read the second task brief in the lab, Sophie uses the shears to cut an orange in half and then transfers it to the vase, before trying to mash it with the spatula. However the spatula is not very stiff, and so keeps bending as she tries to do so.

As Sophie continues to use her shears and spatula-based method, Alex reminds her that she’s used all but one of her chosen items, asking her if she’ll use anything else. Sophie responds by bringing the vase up to her chest to help stabilise the container as she continues to try to force the spatula into the oranges.

After adding quite a few cut oranges to the vase, Sophie then decides to try to mash them using the handles of the shears instead of the spatula.

In her final moments, she uses the spatula to sweep the spilled juice on the table into the vase before leaving the lab, exhausted.

In the studio, Greg acknowledges the role Sophie’s boobs had played in stabilising the vase, but he also calls Alex out for the awkward way in which he’d reminded her that she hadn’t used them up until that point.

Sophie collected 107 millilitres of juice in her vase, and she earns 2 points.
